Our take

A low-cost, made-in-USA diaper that skips fragrance, lotion, latex and chlorine bleaching, with SFI-certified fluff pulp and water-based inks. Reviews are positive but few, and we haven't found an independent lab or PFAS test yet.

Common questions

Are Earth & Eden diapers non-toxic?

There's no legal definition of "non-toxic" for baby products, so here's what we checked. Excluded: Fragrance, lotion, latex, parabens and chlorine bleaching, per retailer listings. Bleaching: Says no chlorine bleaching but doesn't say whether that means TCF or ECF. PFAS screen: Not included in Mamavation's test. Recalls: None found in CPSC diaper recalls since 2020. It scores 74 out of 100 on materials and safety, and 75 overall.

Are Earth & Eden diapers chlorine-free (TCF)?

Earth & Eden says it uses no chlorine bleaching but doesn't say whether that means TCF or ECF. Elemental chlorine-free (ECF) pulp leaves only trace dioxins, while totally chlorine-free (TCF) uses no chlorine at all, so TCF is the stricter claim.
